The Fatty Fest has reached seam-busting size. In order to keep things in order we need more help than ever. Call 479-422-7654 or email renko@progressivetraildesign.com to volunteer. All trail work days qualify as PayDirt work days for the AMBCS.
Volunteer Benefits:
Build Trail and Race Free
Complete 6 hours of trail work prior to the festival and race free! That’s right. Show up at one or more of the schedule work days and entry fee to one discipline is on us. 12 hours. Two disciplines on us!!!! All trail work takes place prior to the event. Check out work day schedule below.
General Fatty Volunteer
These positions are spot workers that help during the festival. Usually the burden is 30 min. to a couple hours. Jobs are something like course marshalling, water/aid station assistance, parking volunteer etc. All volunteers will receive a free Fatty Fest Shirt and free camping and access to the volunteer hospitality tents.
Super Fatty Volunteer
These positions are usually several hours or a whole day. They consist of assisting with registration, beverages, assistance with event management or jobs that require a bit more commitment. Lodging and meal discounts are offered. All volunteers will receive a free Fatty Fest Shirt and free camping opportunities and access to the volunteer hospitality tents.
Staff Position
These positions are about dedication to the Fat. Two if not three days of commitment. Pre event organizing and strategizing are often required. Lodging and meals provided. All volunteers will receive a free Fatty Fest Shirt and free camping opportunities and access to the volunteer hospitality tents.
Trail Work Dates:
June 8th & 9th
Downhill Course Work
9am / Bottom of DH Course at Miner’s Rock
We try to get most course changes done on these days a month before the event so they have a chance to mature. Plan to be a part of feature shaping and some of the more creative aspects of trail design. Lunch provided. Free camping available and lodging discounts at the Harlee Motel. Shuttled course runs after work and lunch.
General Trail Work
June 29 th & 30th
9am / Bottom of DH Course at Miner’s Rock
We will hit the hot spots in the park. Course weedeating and clipping, some minor reroutes possibly, light ground work and a general sweep of the trails. Food and beverages provided. Ride after work.

July 6th & 7th

More of the same work as the prior weekend. Course weedeating and clipping, some minor reroutes possibly, light ground work and a general sweep of the trails. Also plans are to get the DH, XC, and ST event courses marked and ready. Food and beverages provided. Ride after work.
