• Saturday Registration at Lake Leatherwood. One stop shopping for registration. 8-10am and 2-7pm at Lake Leatherwood. No more Saturday night pre-registration. OMNI and STXC registration still available Friday Night and XC Registration still available Sunday morning before the event at the Auditorium.
• Short Track Cruiser/ Costume Race Friday. Bring your best alter ego. Definitely the scream of the weekend. Everyone’s time to “show their colors”. Only two half mile laps. And it has been proven it can be done on any bike in just about any garment. 7pm Friday at the Phat Tire Short Track.
• Volunteer and Race Free. Complete 6 hours of trail work prior to the festival on a scheduled work day and “Race Free” in one discipline. 12 hours…. Race two on us. See the Volunteer page under Non-Competitive Events.
• Omni Competition Sign up on Friday Only. Omni sign up is at the Phat Tire Short Track only or online. Registraion for the Downhill Duo will be available Saturday Morning at the DH Registration.
• Children’s Rodeo on Sunday. The ultimate in kid fun on two wheels. Games, Races, Challenge Courses, and Prizes. See the non-competitive events pages for all the details.

New Gravity Guide Map

PBR, PTD and Adventure Subaru are happy to announce the Downhill Duo and Coordinating Map. Downhill Riders will now have the opportunity to compete in a one-day stage race featuring Downhill and Super D competitions. Fatty Fest Welcomes Pedal Pops

The Fat Tire Festival welcomes Pedal Pops of Bentonville to the 2013 festival. Pedal Pops are a nutritious cold frosty treat served up from a pedal cart. They will be present all three days. Check out their products at www.pedalpops.me.

Return of Evolution Air Bags

Evolution Air bags will return for the 2013 Fatty Fest thanks to the help of ARVEST Bank. This certified and insured stunt air bag feature allows riders and the GP to test their will. The ramp and jumping platform will be in full force. Try your best trick on the bike ramp or test your fear factor jumping from over 20 feet. Kids rodeo participants will jump for free!!! Discount all day and weekend passes.

New Omni Format for 2013

The 2013 Fatty Fest will have a completely new Omni Challenge format. With the addition of the “Super D”, you guessed it!!! Five disciplines for the Super Fatty Omni. The Observed Trials will now be Leatherwood and have a special edited version making it possible but still no less painful. Also New, the addition of the “XC Tri-Omni” and the “Downhill Duo”

This year will feature a few changes for the FATT FEST. Make some notes and refer to the “Latest Fat News” for the most recent info and updates on the festival; work days, event details, and new developments.

• “Super D” Saturday Afternoon. This new discipline will feature the top half of the DH course, a choice bench section of the Miner’s Rock Trail, a rarely used forest road and a bit of new single track. Tune in to the events pages for all the details.
• All Day Registration Saturday at Lake Leatherwood. The convenience of registration at one location for all events Saturday and Sunday can’t be underestimated. Friday registration at the Phat Tire Short Track and Sunday morning registration at the Auditorium will continue as in the past. See registration page for all of the latest changes.
• Observed Trials moves to Lake Leatherwood. It will be hard to let go of Harmon Park, but moving to Leatherwood will help consolidate our resources and provide some new terrain for competitors and spectators.
• New “Big Town Ride” This is a combination of all the in-town rides we have done in the past. This year the riders will split into two groups. One for an advanced ride and one that will be a bit more leisurely. A no-miss event. Go to the non-competitive events page to find out more about the only ride of its kind in the central US.
• Bigger and Better Kid’s Rodeo. What was the most incredible surprise of last year we hope will be the best thing again this year. More stunts, more games and more fun for kids on two wheels.
