Downhill
2013 Progressive Bike Ramp Down Hill
The PBR Downhill is designed to be the epitome of DH racing in our region of the country. The event is held on the year round publicly open Lake Leatherwood DH Challenge Trail . The trail is a one way downhill trail featuring many Technical Trail Features (TTF’S). The trail and course offer roll around options of most TTF’s. So beginner cyclists need not fear. However the TTF main lines definitely shed the seconds and deserve serious consideration. All together though someone on a standard mountain bike with basic skills can negotiate all of this course and trail.

All Technical Trail Features are marked with the international accepted difficulty markings. Features include doubles, table tops, step ups and downs, rock drops, ledge drops, rock gardens , and of course lots of berms. A big 18 foot finish line double ends the run. The course has one ledge drop section where there are many options. Know the course. There are no joke big hit features on this course. However roll around options and alternate lines allow for any rider with basic skills and a basic bike to negotiate the course. There will be a 2 second time bonus for hitting the finish line gap!
